MYLAR COOK: maximum customer convenience


MYLAR® COOK revolutionises the cooking process for foods which contain protein, such as meat, poultry, fish and other food products.The particular product is cooked in the oven or in the microwave in its sealed pack. 

Thanks to this process, the aromas, vitamins, minerals and inherent moisture of the product are largely retained during the cooking process. The consumer achieves optimum results through the use of MYLAR® COOK technology.

MYLAR® COOK has been specifically developed for packing foods which contain protein, such as meat, poultry and fish. MYLAR® BAKE is available for the packing of bakery products.

Thermoformed packs made from MYLAR® COOK films can be used within a temperature range of -60 to +218 °C. This means that the packed food can be stored either chilled or frozen, and it can be cooked in the oven or in the microwave.The moisture in the food is retained during the cooking in the sealed pack. 

After the pack has opened automatically in the oven when a defined pressure is reached, the browning process then starts. 

The food browns in the pack and the aromas are retained.

  • The barrier properties of the film material ensure that the shelf life is extended

Short forming and sealing processes enable a high cycle output to be achieved. 

The wide forming and sealing temperature range of the films makes their processing simple and reliable.
